Surprisingly difficult to eat.
Top heavy, sticky mess.
Jaw breaking, teeth under stress.
But I still love you,
my tart apples wrapped in a sweet caramel dress.

<3 the poem. we typically make caramel apples & homemade popcorn balls every fall…both are very impractical treats, really….and we're never able to eat them all.
i've actually ended up handing out my popcorn balls along with candy to trick or treaters. 😉
